Anti-Blight & Beautification Efforts Grant Program
Established through a Memphis City Council resolution sponsored by Councilman JB Smiley, Jr. and administered by Memphis City Beautiful within the City of Memphis Division of Community Enhancement.
Program Overview
The Anti-Blight & Beautification Efforts Grant Program provides funding to support neighborhood-led projects that improve the appearance and cleanliness of communities across Memphis.
Active Neighborhood Associations may request up to $2,500 for one (1) beautification or anti-blight project.
Eligibility & Guidelines
- Must be an active Neighborhood Association
- One (1) application per Neighborhood Association
- Funding is limited to one project with one vendor
- Funding may not be split across multiple projects or vendors
- Vendor must be registered with the City of Memphis prior to payment (vendors can register through the City of Memphis Purchasing Service Center)
Required Documents
- Please have the following ready before applying:
- Vendor invoice (must match requested amount)
- Before photos of project area
- Vendor registration confirmation or supplier ID
- Community Support Form (25 resident signatures)
- Signed Grant Agreement
- Supporting materials (if applicable)

Application Process
Applications will be reviewed by Memphis City Beautiful to verify eligibility and assess project feasibility. Site visits may be conducted as part of the review process.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- All required documents must be submitted for consideration
- Incomplete applications may be deemed ineligible
- Projects must be completed by December 31, 2026
