Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup

As the local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Memphis City Beautiful partners annually with KAB to engage Memphians in participating in this nationwide clean-up and community improvement effort.

Memphis City Beautiful typically recruits as many as 26,000 people during the year-long campaign to volunteer for projects as varied as block clean-ups, school beautification events and recycling collections.

Through local affiliates, the Great American Cleanup encourages individuals to take greater responsibility for their local environment by conducting grassroots community service projects that engage volunteers, local businesses and civic leaders.  Activities can include litter cleanups; school & community playground/park cleanup, renovation or construction; any type of community improvement & beautification; clothing collection; community gardens; reduce, reuse, recycle activities/education; river, lake cleanups and much more.

Memphis City Beautiful can help you organize your project and provide tools, gloves, bags and a garbage pickup after your project is completed.
