Waste In Place

This comprehensive class room learning program for grades K-6, is used in most City and many private schools to help children understand the problems of litter, the value of recycling, and their individual responsibility for maintaining a clean, healthy environment.

Waste In Place Environmental Creativity Contest

Using litter prevention, beautification and recycling as the theme, students grades K-6 are invited to enter the annual city wide Waste in Place contest, culminating in an awards program honoring achievements by classes and individuals for the creative use of writing, art, and performance, to support the concepts of preventing litter, recycling and beautifying their city. Each student is given a personalized certificate and ribbon for their efforts.
